Sleeping Bag Obstacle Course
This game is for 4 or more players and should be played in an open area on a soft surface.
To play, you need one sleeping bag for each team and something to wiggle around, like plastic cones. (You could use empty soda bottles for cones.)
First, set up a course by putting 3 cones in different places on the playing field.
Split into two even teams.
On the word "go," the first players of each team get into their sleeping bags and wiggle around the cones. (It works best if players hold the sleeping bag with their hands and use their arms and elbows to help them crawl.)
When players get back to their team, they tag the next person in line.
The first team to finish wins.
Apple Relay

This game will be the apple of your eye.
This game is for 4 or more players and should be played in an open area.
To play, you need one apple for each team and something to mark the end of your course. (You could use empty soda bottles.)
First, place your markers at the end of your course, about 40 feet away from the starting line.
Split into two even teams.
On the word "go," a team member places an apple on the back of the first player.
The first player races to the end of the course and back without letting the apple fall off her back. If the apple falls off, that player has to stop where she is and put it back on. Once the apple is back in place, she keeps going from where it fell off.
When the player gets back to her team, she puts the apple on the back of the next person in line.
The first team to finish wins.

Players then run back to their team and pass the balloon to the next player. If the balloon hits the ground, you have to go back behind the line and try again.
The first team to put on all the clothing while keeping the balloon airborne wins.

Hoop it up!
This is a game for 7 people, 6 players and one referee.
To play, you need a blown up balloon and two hula-hoops.
Players divide into two teams of three.
Each team has a hula-hoop, which will be their basketball hoop.
One person from each team holds up their team's hoop at chest level.
The object of the game is to hit the balloon into the hoop. Players can only hit the balloon with their head, shoulders, elbows, or knees-but no hands! Teams are allowed to play defense, but still cannot touch the balloons with their hands. Players can't hit balloon twice in a row.
If the balloon hits the ground, it's out of play. The referee then goes back to the middle to toss it up.
The first team to score three baskets wins.

You need two balls, six wacky obstacles for the croquet course, and a mallet for each team. The ZOOMers used plastic flamingoes on sticks. You can use umbrellas, hockey sticks, or anything else you can whack a ball with.

The object of the game is to weave back and forth around the obstacles while hitting a plastic ball with the mallet.
When you get to the end of the course, turn around, and then weave around the obstacles on the other side of the course.
First team to finish the course WINS!

The playing field should be about 35 feet long, with a start and finish line.

Split up into two teams of three.
Pick one kid from each team to be the mummy. The other two kids are the wrappers.
On "go," each team wraps their mummy starting from the ankles. Don't wrap the feet, mouth, or eyes.
When the mummy is wrapped to the top of his head, he is complete.
Once he's totally wrapped, the mummy sticks out his arms and starts running. The first mummy to cross the line and back is on the winning team.
On A Roll
Sent in by: Amanda of NY
It's all decided by a roll of the dice.
This game is a relay race for 7 or more players and should be played in an open area.
To set up the game, mark off a playing field with a starting line and a finish line.
To play, you need a set of dice. You will also need to make a chart that shows what kind of steps players will take, like this:
1 = giant step
2 = leap
3 = twirl
4 = hop
5 = jumping jack steps
6 = steps back
Players make two teams. One player is in charge of rolling the dice.
The player rolling the dice must roll each die once. The first die determines the number of steps players must take. The second die determines the kind of steps they must take.
So, if a 3 and a 2 are rolled, players must leap 3 times.
The player rolling the dice continues to roll to determine the number and type of steps the racing players must take next.
When players get back to the starting line, the next players in line start.
The first team to cross the finish line, wins.

Face panting
1. Dog:
2. Fill in the bottom half of your nose with black face paint.
3. Paint a rounded triangle under your nose. The point should be directly under your nose and the base above your upper lip.
4. Paint a small "U" directly under your lower lip and fill it in.
5. Paint a big circle around one of your eyes that extends from above your eyebrow to below your eye. Fill it in. (Never put face paint too close to your eyes!)
6. Add small black spots for "whisker holes" on your cheeks.
7. Wear a brown shirt and you can really look like a dog.
8. Clown:
9. Paint your whole face white by outlining your face with the white face paint and then filling it in. Try to only use one coat of face paint. If you use too much it won't look as good.
10. Use red face paint to paint around the outside of your real mouth to make a big smile. Don't get too close to your real mouth! Do this by outlining your mouth and then filling it in. The red can extend up to the lower part of your cheeks for a large smile.
11. Paint a red circle on the tip of your nose.
12. Paint triangles above and below your eyes. You can use any color you want.
13. Put on a colorful wig, some big, baggy clothes, and you're a clown!
14. Jack 'o Lantern:
15. Paint your whole face orange by outlining your face with the orange face paint and then filling it in. Try to only use one coat of face paint. If you use too much it won't look as good.
16. Paint two black triangles above your eyes.
17. Paint a black triangle on your nose.
18. For the mouth, draw the top of the smile above your upper lip, and then draw some teeth under your bottom lip. Don't get too close to your actual mouth.
19. Draw some black stripes down your face.
20. Put on an orange shirt and you're a pumpkin!
21. Cleanup:
22. To remove the face paint, just use soap and warm water.
